Chloe Esposito
At 17 years of age, Chloe Esposito is a rising star of Modern Pentathlon, a sports contest where athletes are required to be proficient in 5 events: pistol shooting, fencing, 200-metre freestyle swimming, show jumping, and a 3 km cross-country run.
Holding the record as the youngest Australian female Modern Pentathlete to compete at an Olympic selection event (2007), and counting an Australian Championships title amongst her wins, Chloe is making her competitive prowess felt in local and international competitions.
Highlights in May and June 2010
- Semi Finalist in the European Junior Championships, 25th May 2010.
"Chloe had received special dispensation from the UIPM to compete in this event, on the understanding that she would not be allowed to advance to the Final should she qualify. She certainly did qualify - winning her semi final of 22 girls." - 1st place in Portuguese International MP Trophy (Women), Golega, 7th - 9th May 2010
- 5th place in International Junior Competition (Junior Women) - Polish Modern Pentathlon Association, 1st & 2nd May 2010
- 1st place in Australian Winter Championships, Melbourne, 19th - 20th June 2010
